Responsibility
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems on chemical tankers.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults to ensure uninterrupted vessel operations.
- Conduct regular testing of electrical equipment and systems to comply with maritime safety standards.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to plan and execute electrical maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, including SOLAS and MARPOL.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Assist in emergency repairs and provide technical support during critical operations.
- Train and mentor junior crew members on electrical safety and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician ETO/ETR on chemical tankers or similar vessels.
- Valid STCW certification and relevant maritime qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including generators, motors, and control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with international maritime safety and environmental regulations.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces and challenging conditions.
