Responsibility
- Execute work orders assigned by Maintenance Engineers, ensuring timely and accurate completion of electrical maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose electrical faults by analyzing process parameters, alarms, system drawings, and technical documentation.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, including transformers, switchgears, motors, and control panels.
- Conduct routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in power generation, distribution, and auxiliary systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades and efficiency improvements.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance in digital or physical logs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including LOTO (Lockout-Tagout), PPE usage, and hazard reporting procedures.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Systems, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in power plants, industrial facilities, or heavy machinery environments.
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA).
- Proficiency in using electrical testing tools (e.g., multimeters, megohmmeters, oscilloscopes) and diagnostic software.
- Certification in electrical safety (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA) is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
- Physical fitness to perform tasks involving climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
