Responsibility
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, diagnose faults, and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support chemical production processes and ensure seamless operations.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to guide installation and repair work.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, including PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures, to maintain a hazard-free workplace.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections in detailed logs for compliance and auditing purposes.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical technology and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Technician, preferably in the chemical or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, transformers, PLCs, and control panels.
- Proficient in using electrical testing tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes) and diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with chemical industry safety standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA) and hazardous area classifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills in English, with the ability to read technical documents and report findings clearly.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, or on-call duties as required.
