Responsibility
- Supervise and coordinate electrical maintenance activities for machinery, power plant facilities, transformers, generators, and air compressor systems.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Lead a team of electrical technicians, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with local and international electrical safety standards, including PPE usage and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to upgrade or modify electrical systems for improved efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory of spare parts, and equipment performance metrics.
- Oversee emergency repairs and ensure rapid response to critical system failures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; vocational training with extensive experience may be considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in industrial or power plant settings.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage systems, PLCs, motor controls, and industrial automation.
- Certification in electrical safety (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA) is a plus.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in shift-based or on-call environments as needed.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is advantageous.
