Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies in compliance with local and international standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of preventive measures to minimize recurrence.
- Coordinate EHS training programs for employees, including emergency response, fire safety, and chemical handling.
- Oversee waste management and environmental compliance, ensuring proper disposal and recycling practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS best practices into daily operations and new projects.
- Prepare and submit EHS reports to management and regulatory bodies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Serve as the primary liaison for Mandarin-speaking stakeholders, facilitating clear communication on EHS matters.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in EHS roles within manufacturing, logistics, or industrial settings.
- Proficiency in Mandarin (written and spoken) is mandatory; English fluency is required.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations (e.g., DOSH, OSHA, ISO standards) and local Malaysian compliance requirements.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA 30 are highly advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS management software.
