Responsibility
- Operate and maintain EDM Sinker machines to produce high-precision components for semiconductor applications.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to ensure accurate machining.
- Set up, adjust, and calibrate EDM equipment for optimal performance and precision.
- Perform quality inspections using micrometers, calipers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and industry standards (e.g., ISO, SEMATECH).
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize machining processes.
- Document production data, tooling adjustments, and maintenance logs for traceability.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as an EDM Sinker Machinist or in precision machining.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD/CAM software.
- Hands-on experience with EDM sinker machines (e.g., Mitsubishi, Sodick, or Charmilles).
- Strong knowledge of materials used in semiconductor manufacturing (e.g., tungsten, carbide, stainless steel).
- Ability to work independently with high attention to detail and precision.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement (Kaizen).
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine programming.
- Certification in machining (e.g., NIMH, ASME, or vocational training) is a plus.
