Responsibility
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Provide a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Observe and assess each child’s progress, maintaining detailed records to track developmental milestones.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to share insights, address concerns, and build strong partnerships in support of each child’s growth.
- Facilitate group and individual learning experiences, including storytelling, music, art, and outdoor play.
- Adhere to early childhood education standards and best practices, including ACEY (Association for Childhood Education International) and HCIC (HighScope Child Observation Record) frameworks.
- Assist in daily routines such as feeding, napping, and hygiene, with a focus on fostering independence and self-care skills.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and community events to enhance teaching strategies and stay updated on early education trends.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (ACEY/HCIC certification is a plus).
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with infants and toddlers in a preschool or childcare setting.
- Strong understanding of child development theories and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team and adapt to diverse learning needs.
- First Aid and CPR certification for infants and children (preferred).
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian or other languages is an advantage.
