Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence reviews on clients, counterparties, and transactions to ensure compliance with AML, KYC, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze financial, legal, and reputational risks associated with high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and investment structures.
- Prepare detailed due diligence reports with actionable recommendations for senior management and compliance teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Compliance, and Relationship Management, to address risk exposures.
- Monitor and assess geopolitical and sanctions risks, ensuring adherence to international financial regulations.
- Develop and maintain risk assessment frameworks and methodologies to enhance due diligence processes.
- Stay abreast of emerging regulatory trends and industry best practices in financial crime prevention.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members on due diligence procedures and tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, CFA, CAMS) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in due diligence, compliance, or risk management within the financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of AML, KYC, and sanctions regulations (e.g., FATF, OFAC, MAS guidelines).
- Proven ability to analyze complex financial structures and identify potential red flags.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Experience with due diligence tools (e.g., Refinitiv, LexisNexis, Dow Jones) and financial databases.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining collaboration with global teams.
