Responsibility
- Create detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, MicroStation, or similar software.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to interpret and translate conceptual designs into precise technical documentation.
- Ensure all drawings and models adhere to industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Review and revise existing drawings to incorporate design changes or improvements.
- Maintain organized records of all technical drawings and project documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of bills of materials (BOM) and other project-related documentation.
- Provide technical support to the engineering team during the design and development phases.
- Stay updated with the latest drafting technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Draughtsman or in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in 2D drafting and 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, MicroStation, or AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and technical drawing standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality technical drawings.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is a plus.
- Familiarity with automotive design and engineering processes is advantageous.
