Responsibility
- Investigate and analyze dispute and chargeback cases to determine validity and liability.
- Prepare and submit compelling evidence packages to financial institutions to recover disputed funds.
- Monitor chargeback trends and identify root causes to implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., customer support, finance, and legal) to resolve complex disputes efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of all dispute cases, including documentation and correspondence, in compliance with company policies.
- Communicate proactively with clients, merchants, and banks to clarify transaction details and resolve issues.
- Stay updated on industry regulations (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, and local payment schemes) and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Generate reports on dispute metrics, win/loss ratios, and financial impact for management review.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in dispute resolution, chargeback management, or a similar role in the financial services sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret transaction data and identify fraudulent patterns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with payment processing systems (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, or banking portals).
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of PCI DSS compliance and chargeback reason codes (e.g., 4503, 5300) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with a customer-centric approach.
