Responsibility
- Credit Risk Assessment: Evaluate and approve non-retail credit proposals, ensuring alignment with CIMB’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Portfolio Oversight: Monitor and manage the wholesale credit portfolio, identifying emerging risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Policy Development: Design and implement credit risk policies, frameworks, and methodologies for wholesale banking.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business units, senior management, and regulators to align credit strategies with organizational goals.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial and industry analysis to assess the creditworthiness of corporate and institutional clients.
- Reporting & Compliance: Prepare comprehensive risk reports for executive committees and ensure adherence to Basel III, Bank Indonesia, and internal guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide credit analysts and junior risk managers, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of macroeconomic trends, sector-specific risks, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related fields. Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., FRM, CFA, PRM) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 12 years in credit risk management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within wholesale/commercial banking.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in credit analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment tools (e.g., Moody’s RiskAnalyst, S&P Capital IQ).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Basel III, IFRS 9, and local banking regulations (Bank Indonesia, MAS, or equivalent).
- Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights to executive audiences.
- Language: Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or Mandarin is advantageous.
