Responsibility
- Strategic AI Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive AI and innovation strategy aligned with Applied Materialsâ global objectives.
- Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of AI engineers, data scientists, and innovation specialists.
- AI Integration: Drive the adoption of AI/ML models into product development, manufacturing, and customer solutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with R&D, engineering, and business units to identify AI-driven opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Innovation Pipeline: Oversee the ideation, prototyping, and scaling of next-generation AI technologies and applications.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Present AI roadmaps and business cases to senior leadership, investors, and clients.
- Compliance & Ethics: Ensure AI solutions adhere to global standards, ethical guidelines, and data privacy regulations.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to maintain a leading edge.
Qualifications
- Education: Masterâs or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 10+ years in AI/ML, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Director/VP level preferred).
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and AI model deployment.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in semiconductor, materials science, or advanced manufacturing is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and drive large-scale AI initiatives.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of AIâs commercial applications and ROI-driven decision-making.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written skills to articulate complex AI concepts to diverse audiences.
- Adaptability: Thrives in fast-paced, innovative environments with a global mindset.
