Responsibility
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data governance strategy aligned with HPE’s digital transformation goals and global operational needs.
- Lead cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data policies, standards, and procedures ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Drive the adoption of data quality frameworks and tools to enhance accuracy, consistency, and reliability of enterprise data.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and business stakeholders to identify and mitigate data-related risks while optimizing data accessibility and usability.
- Oversee the data lifecycle management, including classification, retention, and archival processes.
- Champion data literacy initiatives to foster a data-driven culture across the organization.
- Monitor and report on KPIs and metrics related to data governance performance, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in data governance, AI, and digital transformation to recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or digital transformation, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing enterprise-wide data governance frameworks in a global organization.
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry best practices (e.g., DAMA, COBIT).
- Experience with data modeling, metadata management, and data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Informatica).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Certifications in data governance (CDMP, CGDP) or project management (PMP, PRINCE2) are a plus.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous.
