Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth digital forensic investigations to identify, preserve, and analyze evidence from various digital sources.
- Develop and implement incident response plans to mitigate cyber threats and minimize organizational impact.
- Prepare detailed, technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders, outlining findings and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security protocols and incident detection capabilities.
- Monitor and analyze network traffic, system logs, and other data sources to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and forensic tools to ensure best practices are applied.
- Assist in the recovery of compromised systems and data, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss.
- Provide expert testimony and support in legal proceedings related to cyber incidents, if required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Digital Forensics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GCFA, CFCE) are a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in digital forensics, incident response, or a related cybersecurity role.
- Proficiency with forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, Autopsy, Volatility, and Wireshark.
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), file systems, and network protocols.
- Experience with malware analysis, reverse engineering, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to digital evidence and incident reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to rapidly changing situations.
