Responsibility
- Lead the planning, implementation, and maintenance of the university's information systems to ensure alignment with institutional goals.
- Oversee the integration of new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to assess IT needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Manage IT projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
- Monitor system performance and security, implementing measures to mitigate risks and ensure data integrity.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in information systems to drive strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information systems management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing IT projects and implementing system upgrades or migrations.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data management best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in an academic or research institution is highly desirable.
- Certifications in IT management (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
