Responsibility
- Assist dental surgeons during oral and maxillofacial procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are prepared and sterile.
- Monitor and maintain a clean, organized, and sterile surgical environment in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Prepare patients for surgery by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Handle and process dental instruments, materials, and supplies, including sterilization and inventory management.
- Provide chairside assistance, including passing instruments, retracting tissues, and applying suction as directed by the surgeon.
- Document patient records accurately, including pre- and post-operative notes, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions.
- Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene, and recovery expectations to promote optimal healing.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of patient care.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Dental Assisting, Nursing, or a related healthcare field (preferably with surgical experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant, preferably in a surgical or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, sterilization protocols, and infection control standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and maintain composure in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Familiarity with dental software for patient records and scheduling is a plus.
- Certification in CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English and Indonesian; additional languages are a bonus.
