Responsibility
- Assist dentists during dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists, including handing instruments, operating suction devices, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices to promote long-term dental health.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment details, medical histories, and follow-up appointments.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed to avoid shortages.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, processing payments, and handling patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Dental Assisting or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and dental staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
