Responsibility
- Assist dentists during dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment plans, medical histories, and progress notes.
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after dental procedures.
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and place orders as needed to avoid shortages.
- Follow infection control protocols and adhere to all health and safety regulations.
- Provide administrative support, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Dental Assisting, Nursing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or Nurse, preferably in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
