Responsibility
- Assist dentists during clinical procedures, including preparations, instrument handling, and patient positioning.
- Ensure strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols in compliance with dental standards.
- Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and instruments for various dental procedures (e.g., fillings, extractions, cleanings).
- Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene, and preventive dental practices.
- Manage patient records, including digital charting and X-ray processing, with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and administrative tasks to optimize clinic workflow.
- Monitor and restock dental supplies, ensuring all materials are available and within expiry dates.
- Provide chairside support during surgical or specialized treatments under the dentist’s supervision.
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting from a recognized institution (local or international).
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively with international patients.
- Familiarity with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and digital radiography systems.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and infection control protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
- Valid work permit for Indonesia (or eligibility to obtain one) is a plus.
