Responsibility
- Demand Planning & Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and collaborative input from sales, marketing, and operations teams.
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices.
- Procurement Strategy: Design and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives, reduce costs, and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Inventory Optimization: Monitor and manage inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing excess stock while ensuring product availability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, logistics, and production teams to align procurement activities with budgetary and operational goals.
- Performance Metrics: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supplier performance.
- Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in demand planning and procurement to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree: In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 5 years in demand planning, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Analytical Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis, forecasting tools, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Negotiation Expertise: Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships effectively.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven track record of leading teams, driving process improvements, and delivering measurable results.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or a related industry is highly preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex data clearly and persuasively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address supply chain challenges proactively.
