Responsibility
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and sales insights to optimize inventory levels.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align demand plans with business objectives and promotional strategies.
- Monitor and analyze inventory performance, identifying risks of stockouts or overstock and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare and present demand planning reports, highlighting key trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support trade planning by evaluating customer demand, distribution channels, and competitive landscape to enhance market penetration.
- Utilize ERP and demand planning software to streamline processes and improve forecast accuracy.
- Conduct post-event analysis to assess the impact of promotions, seasonality, and external factors on demand.
- Drive continuous improvement in forecasting methodologies and tools to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain analytics, preferably in retail or FMCG.
- Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with trade support, commercial planning, or sales forecasting is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks in supply chain operations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
