Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure database systems, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and monitoring to ensure high availability and efficiency.
- Develop and implement data warehousing and ETL processes to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Automate database management tasks using scripting and tools to improve operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues, providing timely support to internal teams.
- Stay updated with emerging database technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Database Engineer, Database Administrator, or similar role, with a strong understanding of database design and management.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift) and ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Informatica).
- Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their database services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
