Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive data privacy impact assessments (DPIAs) to identify and mitigate risks associated with data processing activities.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, PDPA, and other relevant frameworks.
- Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard sensitive information.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and business teams to integrate privacy-by-design principles into systems and processes.
- Investigate and resolve data breaches or privacy incidents, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Provide privacy training and awareness programs for employees to foster a culture of data responsibility.
- Review and assess third-party vendor contracts and data processing agreements for compliance with privacy standards.
- Stay updated on emerging privacy laws, technologies, and industry best practices to proactively address new challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Law, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CISSP) are a plus.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, cybersecurity, or a related role.
- In-depth knowledge of global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PDPA) and data protection principles.
- Experience conducting privacy audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex legal and technical requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across departments.
- Familiarity with data encryption, access controls, and secure data handling practices.
- Proficiency in privacy tools and software (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc) is an advantage.
