Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to support business analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability using modern ETL tools and frameworks.
- Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
- Automate data ingestion processes from various sources (APIs, databases, flat files).
- Document data pipeline architectures, processes, and best practices for team reference.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in data engineering and recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, ETL Developer, or similar role.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica) or cloud-based solutions (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing.
- Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
