Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and oversee data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across the organization.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational and financial risks through proactive monitoring and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data policies with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead risk assessment initiatives, including gap analyses, compliance audits, and remediation efforts.
- Design and deliver training programs to educate stakeholders on data governance best practices and risk management protocols.
- Monitor emerging industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the organization remains ahead of compliance risks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement by leveraging data analytics to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Data Science, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., CRISC, CDPSE, CISA) are a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in data governance, risk management, or compliance within the financial services sector.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing data governance frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, Basel III, SOX) and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in data management tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation) and risk assessment methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills to influence and drive change across the organization.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity and collaboration.
