Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to integrate data from multiple sources into a centralized data warehouse.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver robust business intelligence (BI) solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through rigorous data validation and quality checks.
- Optimize database performance by implementing indexing, partitioning, and query tuning techniques.
- Develop and maintain data models, schemas, and metadata to support reporting and analytics.
- Automate data workflows using tools like Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, or similar to improve efficiency.
- Monitor data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in data engineering, cloud technologies, and healthcare analytics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Engineer, with a strong portfolio of data pipeline projects.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala for data manipulation and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
