Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from various sources.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support their data infrastructure needs.
- Optimize database performance and ensure high availability of data systems.
- Monitor data pipelines to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks or data quality issues.
- Implement security and compliance best practices for data storage and processing.
- Automate manual data processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Document data architecture and pipeline logic for team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database management (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
- Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with big data technologies or cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and ETL/ELT principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a contract-based, fast-paced environment.
