Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, and environmental systems to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Generate and analyze operational reports to track performance metrics, energy efficiency, and compliance with SLAs.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for preventive and corrective maintenance of critical facilities equipment.
- Implement and enforce data centre policies, procedures, and safety protocols in alignment with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, TIA-942).
- Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables, ensuring readiness for emergency repairs.
- Assist in capacity planning and scalability assessments to support business growth and technological advancements.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify risks and recommend improvements for operational resilience.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for facility-related issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, IT Infrastructure, or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in data centre operations, facilities management, or critical environment support.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, UPS, generators, fire suppression systems, and BMS (Building Management Systems).
- Familiarity with DCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Management) tools and monitoring software.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Certifications such as CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional), CDCS, or equivalent are a plus.
- Proficient in English (written and verbal) with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in shift patterns, including nights and weekends, as required by operational needs.
