Responsibility
- Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, and networking hardware.
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance.
- Respond to and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in a timely manner.
- Manage environmental controls (cooling, power, fire suppression) to maintain safe and efficient operations.
- Document all maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions in compliance with company policies.
- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and decommissioning of IT equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center upgrades and expansions.
- Adhere to strict security protocols and access control procedures to protect sensitive infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data center operations, IT support, or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and data center environments.
- Familiarity with UPS systems, PDUs, cooling systems, and fire suppression technologies.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco CCNA are a plus.
- Ability to work in rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
