Responsibility
- Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on Data Center HVAC systems, including chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, and precision cooling solutions.
- System Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and enhance HVAC performance to maximize energy efficiency and reduce PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and vendors to design, deploy, and maintain scalable HVAC infrastructure.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Lead root-cause analysis for HVAC-related issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to industry standards (ASHRAE, Uptime Institute) and local regulations for data center operations.
- Project Management: Oversee HVAC system upgrades, retrofits, and new installations from planning to commissioning.
- Training & Documentation: Develop technical documentation and conduct training sessions for operational teams and clients.
- Innovation & Sustainability: Research and recommend emerging technologies (e.g., liquid cooling, AI-driven controls) to future-proof data center infrastructure.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or HVAC/R (or equivalent). Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CDCP, LEED) are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years in Data Center HVAC management, with hands-on experience in critical infrastructure environments.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of chiller plants, VRF systems, airflow management, and BMS (Building Management Systems).
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC issues under pressure in 24/7 operational settings.
- Communication Skills: Fluent English (written and verbal) with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Experience managing multi-million-dollar HVAC projects, including budgeting, timelines, and vendor coordination.
- Certifications: Preferred: ASHRAE Data Center Certifications, PMP, or ITIL.
- Adaptability: Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites across Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
