Responsibility
- Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on server hardware and data center equipment.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, virtualization platforms, and storage solutions.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect data center infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Collaborate with IT teams to deploy new servers, network devices, and data center technologies.
- Document technical procedures, system configurations, and maintenance logs for compliance and auditing.
- Conduct capacity planning and recommend upgrades to support business growth.
- Provide on-call support for critical data center incidents outside of business hours.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in data center operations, server maintenance, or IT infrastructure support.
- Strong knowledge of server hardware (Dell, HP, IBM), RAID configurations, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and data center security best practices.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, CCNA, or MCSE are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
