As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will work closely with our Infra Operation & Cyber Security team to safeguard our digital infrastructure against evolving threats. This role offers hands-on experience in monitoring security alerts, analyzing logs, and contributing to the development of robust security protocols. Responsibility
- Assist in monitoring security alerts, logs, and dashboards to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Support the team in analyzing security incidents and contributing to incident response efforts.
- Help maintain and update security documentation, including policies, procedures, and compliance reports.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities under supervision.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Assist in the configuration and management of security tools, such as SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems.
- Contribute to the development of security awareness training materials for employees.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to enhance organizational security.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of network security, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and SIEM tools.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Prior experience with Linux/Windows systems, scripting (Python, Bash), or cybersecurity tools is advantageous.
