Responsibility
- Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar).
- Support vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under senior team guidance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Help maintain and update security documentation, including risk assessments and compliance reports.
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulation campaigns for employees.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into software development lifecycles (DevSecOps).
- Assist in conducting security audits and ensuring adherence to industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Research emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of network security, encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ (a plus).
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and virtualization concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP (or progress toward) are advantageous.
