Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Lead risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate security threats.
- Oversee information governance policies, including data classification, retention, and disposal, ensuring compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, and other relevant standards.
- Manage security incident response, including investigation, containment, and recovery, while minimizing business disruption.
- Conduct security awareness training and workshops for employees to foster a culture of cybersecurity best practices.
- Collaborate with IT and legal teams to ensure third-party vendor compliance and secure data-sharing agreements.
- Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and threats using SIEM tools and other advanced technologies.
- Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats and industry trends, recommending proactive measures to enhance security posture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Master’s degree or certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC) are a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing security programs.
- Proven expertise in risk management, compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR), and incident response.
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Strong understanding of data privacy laws, governance models, and secure SDLC practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical risks into business impact.
- Experience in cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and securing hybrid environments is highly desirable.
- Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach and attention to detail.
