Responsibility
- Assist in the planning and execution of crew schedules, ensuring optimal staffing levels for vessels and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Coordinate crew changes, travel arrangements, and accommodations for seamless transitions between assignments.
- Liaise with vessel operators, agents, and crew members to resolve scheduling conflicts or logistical challenges.
- Maintain accurate crew databases and documentation, including certifications, visas, and medical records.
- Monitor crew performance and feedback, providing reports to Crewing Managers for continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to international maritime labor laws and company policies in all crewing activities.
- Assist in emergency response planning, including crew repatriation and contingency protocols.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to process payroll, allowances, and benefits for crew members.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in crewing, HR, or operations within the maritime, shipping, or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations (STCW, MLC, etc.) and crew management systems.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage high-volume scheduling.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) and crew management software (e.g., Marlins, CrewManager).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., Tagalog, Indonesian) are a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
