Responsibility
- Evaluate loan applications by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant documents to determine creditworthiness.
- Assess the financial capacity of applicants, including income stability, debt-to-income ratios, and repayment history.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential credit risks and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Prepare detailed credit analysis reports with clear recommendations for approval, rejection, or further review.
- Collaborate with underwriting and lending teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and review existing loan portfolios to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact credit decisions.
- Provide guidance and support to junior analysts and other team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or a similar role within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, credit scoring, and risk assessment tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
