Responsibility

  • Process and validate corporate actions, including dividends, mergers, acquisitions, and rights issues, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, such as operations, compliance, and client services, to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth execution of corporate actions.
  • Monitor and analyze corporate action announcements from various sources, including exchanges, issuers, and custodians, to ensure timely and accurate processing.
  • Maintain and update corporate action records in internal systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for reporting purposes.
  • Prepare and distribute corporate action notifications to clients and internal teams, providing clear and concise information on deadlines and requirements.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of corporate action events, identifying and resolving discrepancies to minimize operational risk.
  • Support the continuous improvement of corporate action processes by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in corporate actions to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate actions, securities operations, or a related role within the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, corporate actions, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with corporate action processing systems is a plus.
