As a Conveyancing Clerk, you will assist in the preparation, verification, and filing of legal documents related to property transfers, ensuring compliance with Malaysian property laws. Responsibility

  • Prepare and draft legal documents for property transactions, including Sale and Purchase Agreements, Transfer Documents, and Charge Documents.
  • Conduct title searches and verify property ownership details to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Liaise with clients, lawyers, banks, and government authorities to facilitate smooth conveyancing processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of settlement statements and ensure timely disbursement of funds.
  • Maintain and organize conveyancing files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and securely stored.
  • Coordinate with land offices and other relevant agencies for stamp duty assessments and registration processes.
  • Provide administrative support to solicitors, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.
  • Stay updated on changes in property laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all transactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum SPM qualification or higher; a diploma or certificate in Legal Studies or related field is a plus.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in conveyancing or a related legal support role.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian property laws, land codes, and conveyancing procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in document preparation and review.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
