Responsibility
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation systems, including pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors, to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in DCS (Distributed Control Systems) and PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on analyzers and control systems to comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to develop and implement system upgrades, automation projects, and process improvements.
- Provide technical support and training to plant personnel on instrumentation and control systems, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Document maintenance activities, system modifications, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance.
- Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for system failures and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in instrumentation and control systems to drive innovation within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in instrumentation, control systems, or automation within a plant or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in DCS (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Emerson) and PLC (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens S7) programming and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, HART, Foundation Fieldbus).
- Experience with calibration tools, diagnostic software, and preventive maintenance strategies for instrumentation systems.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations relevant to industrial automation and control systems (e.g., ISA, IEC, OSHA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
