The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is seeking a seasoned Technical Delivery/Project Deputy Director to join our dynamic team on a contract basis. This is a unique opportunity to lead high-impact IT projects, particularly in trade management systems, while working remotely from the vibrant tech hubs of Bali, Indonesia (Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung).

Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of trade management systems and other critical IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and microservices-based architectures to enhance scalability and performance.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, including planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Drive the adoption of DevOps and Agile methodologies to improve collaboration, efficiency, and continuous delivery.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define IT strategies, roadmaps, and best practices for enterprise-wide implementation.
- Mentor and guide technical teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance standards across all IT initiatives.
- Monitor project performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in IT architecture, with a focus on trade management systems, cloud computing, and microservices.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale IT projects from conception to delivery, preferably in the financial or regulatory sector.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automation tools.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with certifications (e.g., PMP, SAFe, or CSM) being a plus.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance (e.g., MAS, GDPR, or ISO standards) is highly desirable.
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
