Responsibility
- Develop precise 2D and 3D technical drawings for construction projects using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to interpret design specifications and convert them into detailed plans.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback to ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and project requirements.
- Prepare and organize drafting documentation, including layouts, sections, elevations, and as-built drawings.
- Assist in site visits to verify measurements, gather data, and resolve discrepancies between drawings and on-site conditions.
- Maintain an organized digital filing system for all project-related drawings and revisions.
- Stay updated on the latest drafting technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the preparation of bill of materials (BOM) and cost estimates based on technical drawings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Drafter in the construction or architectural industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and familiarity with other drafting tools (e.g., Revit, SketchUp) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and engineering principles.
- Valid SIM A driverâs license and willingness to travel for out-of-town assignments as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Diploma or Bachelorâs degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
