Responsibility
- Select and evaluate electronic components based on technical specifications, performance, and reliability.
- Standardize components to ensure consistency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with industry standards.
- Manage component lifecycle, including obsolescence monitoring and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure components meet design, manufacturing, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to prevent supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain documentation and databases for component specifications, approvals, and changes.
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate terms, ensure quality, and resolve technical issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance component performance and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in component engineering, electronics manufacturing, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of electronic components, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with component selection, qualification, and lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IPC, ISO, RoHS) and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using engineering tools and software for component analysis and documentation.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with global teams.
