Responsibility
- Develop, implement, and monitor PDPA compliance frameworks to ensure adherence to local and international data protection regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in data handling processes and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance best practices into business operations and workflows.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports and documentation to relevant authorities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on PDPA requirements, data privacy policies, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor changes in data protection laws and industry standards, updating internal policies accordingly.
- Investigate and resolve data breaches or compliance incidents, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up actions.
- Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, and regulatory bodies to address compliance-related inquiries and inspections.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CIPP, CIPM) is a plus.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or data protection, preferably in the banking or financial services sector.
- In-depth knowledge of PDPA regulations and other relevant data protection frameworks (e.g., GDPR).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex legal and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to engage with internal teams and external partners.
- Proven ability to design and implement compliance programs and conduct risk assessments.
- Familiarity with audit processes, incident response protocols, and compliance monitoring tools.
- High ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
