Responsibility
- Monitor and ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop, update, and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs for staff.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business practices align with regulatory standards.
- Prepare and submit accurate compliance reports to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve compliance-related incidents or breaches, documenting findings and solutions.
- Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and industry best practices, advising management on implications.
- Assist in the onboarding of new clients and partners by verifying compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a similar role within the financial services sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including AML, KYC, and data privacy laws.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency in compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications such as CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) are a plus.
