Responsibility
- Safely transport patients to and from Assisi Hospice facilities, ensuring punctuality and adherence to scheduled therapy sessions.
- Assist therapists during therapy sessions at Daycare and Inpatient units, providing hands-on support to patients as needed.
- Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions, reporting any changes in condition or concerns to the therapy team promptly.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive and comforting atmosphere during their care.
- Maintain accurate records of patient transportation, therapy session attendance, and any observations made during sessions.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team, including nurses, doctors, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Adhere to all hospice policies, procedures, and safety protocols to maintain a high standard of care and compliance.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; certification in healthcare assistance or a related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospice, or patient care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Physical ability to assist with patient transfers, mobility support, and standing for extended periods during therapy sessions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for patient transportation duties (if applicable).
- Basic understanding of infection control practices and patient safety protocols.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by patient care needs.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other local languages is an advantage.
