Responsibility
- Develop and execute commodity strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement and supply chain efficiency.
- Monitor global market trends and analyze commodity pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.
- Assess and mitigate risks related to commodity availability, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on commodity spending, market conditions, and supplier performance.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and finance, to align commodity strategies with business objectives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance commodity management practices.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sourcing standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in commodity management, procurement, or supply chain roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and financial reports.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills for managing supplier relationships.
- Proficiency in using procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of global commodity markets and supply chain best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
