Responsibility
- Prepare and present high-quality cold dishes, including salads, appetizers, charcuterie, and garnishes, adhering to Hiltonâs standards of excellence.
- Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service and timely preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items and seasonal specials.
- Monitor inventory levels of cold kitchen ingredients and communicate supply needs to the purchasing team.
- Uphold Hiltonâs brand values by delivering exceptional guest experiences through attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance culinary skills and stay updated on industry trends.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a cold kitchen or similar culinary role, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
- Formal culinary education (e.g., diploma or certificate from a recognized culinary school) is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Excellent knife skills and a keen eye for detail in food presentation.
- Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
