Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in dish quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Support in inventory management, including stock rotation, labeling, and restocking ingredients.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare mise en place for service periods, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
- Adhere to HACCP and resort-specific food handling guidelines to guarantee guest safety.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting deliveries to verify quality and quantity of supplies.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field (fresh graduates are welcome).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen (internships included); entry-level candidates with passion and drive are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment operation.
- Strong work ethic, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 kg.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
