Responsibility
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of high-quality dishes according to Velvetâs signature recipes and standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Support senior chefs in inventory management, including stock rotation and supply ordering.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely service during peak cinema hours and special events.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to minimize waste and maximize cost efficiency.
- Assist in plating dishes with precision and creativity to enhance visual appeal.
- Participate in daily kitchen briefings and contribute ideas for menu improvements.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen or culinary training (fresh graduates with passion are encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills in English (Bahasa Indonesia is a plus).
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required by cinema schedules.
