Responsibility
- Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Follow standardized recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency in dish quality and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workstation in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Support in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and marinating, to meet service demands.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely and efficient service during peak hours.
- Contribute creative ideas for menu development and seasonal specials.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations as per company and local guidelines.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in fine dining or high-volume restaurants.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized institution is a plus.
- Strong knife skills and a solid understanding of basic cooking techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with a positive attitude.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a willingness to learn and take direction.
- Knowledge of Indonesian cuisine and international culinary trends is advantageous.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 20 kg).
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is a bonus.
